The Broken Hill Hospital's mental health team is seeking feedback from the public about the services that they provide.

Employees from the Health Service's Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Service (MHDA) will hand out surveys over the next fortnight, but the forms may also be completed online.

MHDA Director Susan Daly said that she was looking to implement changes to improve the service.

"This is the first time we've done this. It's a local initiative," said Ms Daly.

"We want to make sure that we are responsive to community needs," she said.

"We're looking at engaging with anyone who has had an experience with mental health, drug and alcohol, whether it is themselves or someone they know, such as a relative.

"We most definitely want to be implementing some changes and we want to identify the key priorities."

The quick survey asks if your experience with the Mental Health team was good or bad and what can be done to improve services.

The survey form can be found at the hospital or online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/JPRFBC5.
