Two youths in hoodies bricked cars as they drove past in Railwaytown on Saturday, police said yesterday.
One woman got the fright of her life when they smashed her windscreen about 1pm at the intersection of Galena and Pell streets.
"She tried to chase after them, but they have bolted," Sergeant Wayne Demery said yesterday.
"She has then come and reported the matter to us," he said.
"This action is extremely dangerous and can have severe consequences."
Sgt Demery said the woman was not injured in the attack, but was very shaken.
Both offenders were about 16 years old: one had a dark-coloured hoodie while the other had a white one.
Police are asking for witnesses to come forward.
Police found illegal drugs in a car after stopping the driver for a random breath test in Crystal Street on Saturday night.
They said the drugs had a street value of up to $700 and included:
- 2.7 grams of amphetamine,
- 1.7 ounces of a liquid called GBH,
- one tablet.
The 23-year-old driver was charged with driving while suspended and possessing prohibited drugs.
He was bailed to appear in court on June 25.
