Local pilots Bruce Church and Pat Cuffe have been awarded the "Best Presented Jabiru" at the Natfly 2010 Air Show.

The Temora air show attracted 700 aircraft, including three from Broken Hill. Mr Church said the Jabiru J-230, which is jointly owned by himself and Mr Cuffe, wasn't the best plane but was the best presented after the pair had worked hard to maintain it.

While the aircraft was on show, visitors to the April 1-4 event were able to see the engine on display and information was also provided about the Jabiru model. The air show held forums on GPS set-ups, the use of flight instruments and the advancements in the Jabiru aircraft.

Mr Church said the aircraft was "just a good plane". "It's all Australian built...it's economical to run and (we) do our own maintenance," he said.

The pair have owned the plane since February 2008 and have used it for "business and pleasure". They have logged 365 hours of travel in the plane and Mr Church said it was still in good condition.
