Students in Broken Hill will be rejoicing that school holidays have started and the YMCA has lots of activities to keep up with them.

The YMCA’s Teegan Ralph said the school holiday program had been filling up, but there were a few spaces available.

She said they would be hosting a range of activities.

“We will be having a camp out in Cockburn, going to the movies and the Cubby House,” Teegan said.

She said yesterday the children played bingo and made sock puppets.

“We will also be having a talk from a wild life specialist and a carnival day,” she said.

“There will be a trip to Menindee and a cooking day.”

Teegan said it was all about keeping the children interested and doing something different.

“We will hopefully fill up all the places,” she said.

“The children are loving it, they are having lots of fun.”
