The clash of Round 16 was between the Old Cues and the Stars and with every game “ladder defining”, this one didn’t disappoint.

The Old Cues were coming off a reality check loss the week before by an under strength Hitmen outfit, while the Stars asserted their dominance and had a big win over the Warriors.

Both sides would’ve chalked this one down as a “must win” and the Stars came out the blocks firing, winning the first three frames, with the Old

Cues clawing back the next two making it 3-2 at the first break.

The Old Cues did enough to make it level after the second round and it became apparent that this was going to go down to the wire.

The Old Cues came out firing to win the first frame but the revolution was quickly put down by the Stars, with their main go-to man J. Stokes winning the night, 8-7.

It was a good win for the Stars which has kept them in the finals race.

Mention goes to the Old Cues who have acquired the services of J. Neville (who won three frames) and now they look like they have enough fire power to trouble the top sides.
