An ex-local is holding a talent quest next month to find someone to be a part of her movie and a music video.
Belinda Adams has written a film called "Chasing Jon" about a country girl with the desire to follow her dreams.
Belinda said people could send their auditions by emailing a 60 second YouTube link to her and that entrants needed to include their name, mobile number and address. Submissions close on August 9.
The finale of the talent quest will be held on August 16 at the Palace Hotel.
The top five finalists would be notified on Monday, August 12 and will then perform live at the Palace.
The winner of the talent quest will received two tickets to the upcoming Bon Jovi concert and be involved in the film.
"We will judge the audition tapes in Brisbane (where I live) and then we will be in Broken Hill on the weekend of August 16," Belinda said.
She said while here they would also film a music video in Menindee.
"We've split shooting our music videos between Brisbane and Broken Hill," Belinda said.
"We will film in Menindee, the same weekend we are in Broken Hill for the talent quest. Myself and artist Brendan Talay co-wrote the song."
Brendan will be singing at the Palace on the night of the talent quest.
"My movie is about someone chasing her dreams. I would love to give someone the opportunity to have a shot at their dreams," she said.
"It has been my dream to write and produce a feature film and to give back to a community that has given so much support to me and showcase Broken Hill and its iconic sites.
"I love the landscape and fell in love with the movies that were made around here. I think Broken Hill provides a unique backdrop."
