If past and present students of Rainbow Preschool would like to be forever remembered, then they may join the school’s paver fundraiser.

The preschool is upgrading its playground and has decided to do an “Engraved Paver Fundraiser”.

Preschool Office Manager, Melissa Dally, said quite a few areas need paving.

“This is an opportunity for people to have their name go down in history at Rainbow,” she said.

“Anyone who has attended Rainbow Preschool over the last 65 years can purchase a paver.”

Ms Dally said they have tried to do a fundraiser like this before, but it wasn’t a success.

“It didn’t get off the ground so we are trying to encourage it a bit more this time.

“I think there needs to be a minimum of 100 orders.”

She said any more money raised will go towards getting extra pavers to go around the engraved ones.

“We are hoping for a lot of interest, especially to preserve the history of the preschool.

“Past students from Rainbow have told us how the school has stayed in their hearts - once a Rainbow student, always a Rainbow student.”

The preschool does a number of other things to fundraise.

“We have movie screenings, chocolate drives, Mother’s Day fundraisers and Easter Hat Parades, as well as Christmas gatherings,” Ms Dally said.

“We always get a good response for these fundraisers. We do rely on it - to do anything special around the school, we need funds.”
