Search draws to a close

With no trace being found of a man who went missing near Silverton six days ago, police were last night deciding whether to call off the search.
Yesterday police released another photograph of Daniel Rosewall, 28, who has been missing since Friday when his car was found on a dirt road on Eldee Station, about 30 kilometres north of Silverton.
The ground and air search continued yesterday and a sniffer dog was also brought in.
The extensive search on foot, in the air, on motorbikes and horseback has been going for five days and has stretched as far as Cockburn on the South Australian border.
Police yesterday renewed their appeal for information from members of the public who may have seen Mr Rosewall, 28, who is from Bendigo.
They said they would like to hear from any motorist who may have given a hitchhiker a ride out of town since Friday. Local police may be contacted on (08) 8087 0299.
