Schools sing to a packed hall
Friday, 2nd August, 2013
The Barrier Schools Choral Festival was held before an exceptionally large audience yesterday at the Civic Centre.
The queue of parents and family members stretched from the auditorium out to the steps of the hall, even as the performances got underway at 1pm.
The festival is an annual event for all primary schools, including the School of the Air, said the festival’s organiser Kate Hogg.
“Each choir performs two songs and each school enters two choirs - the primary and infant choirs.”
Ms Hogg said School of the Air was the exception.
