Golf Scramble a smash hit

The annual Holden Scramble hosted at the Golf and Country Club at the weekend was a huge success.
Cameron Wells, Matt Jardine, Dean Martin and Adam Rhodes took out the Holden Scramble title on Sunday.
The group will now attend the regional finals in Adelaide in October.
A spokeswoman for the BH Golf and Country Club said the event was really successful with over 80 entrants.
“It was the best field we have had in quite a few years,” she said.
“We had a good mix of people.”
She said the winners were really excited.
“They are looking forward to playing in West Lakes, Adelaide in October,” the spokeswoman said.
The annual event is sponsored locally by Silver City Holden.
“Anyone was able to participate as long as they have a Golf Australia handicap,” she said.
“Everyone stayed for presentations. There were lots of trophies from first to eighth place.
“We also had awards for the nearest pin and a long drive competition.
“All in all it was a great day, the weather was fantastic and the sponsors were great. They gave out refreshments and cooked a barbecue.
“They did a fabulous job.”
The spokeswoman said the club was hoping for over 120 entrants next year so they can enter two teams in the regional finals.
“If you have under 120 people, you can only enter one team,” she said.
“It would be great to get two away. We are hoping for a bigger field.”
