Perilya’s Potosi mine has not yet entered the formal production phase but already it is doing better than forecast.
The company started trial production in March and aimed to ramp up production by the end of this year.
Perth-based managing director Paul Arndt remained tight-lipped yesterday, ahead of the company’s quarterly report.
However, he said that the mine, which has a mineral resources of 1.6 million tonnes, had produced high quality ore in the pre-production stage.
“We do have some early pre-production results when are better than our model forecast,” he said.
The company will release details within its quarterly report, to be released soon.
