Pot of gold for Irish dancer

Monday, 28th October, 2013

Local Irish dancer, Mahaila Denton, has competed in her first ever competition - and come away with four gold medals.

Eight-year-old Mahaila travelled to Adelaide earlier this month to dance at the Salisbury Feis which was conducted by the Celtic Dance Association.

For Mahaila, it was a very good introduction indeed to Irish Dancing at a competitive level.

Mahaila, who has been taking lessons from BH dance teacher Joy Baldwin, performed in four different dances and won each of them.

The last competition for Irish Dancing on the Joy Baldwin’s School of Dance calendar will take place in Adelaide in December.
