Visitors to Cristal Mining Australia’s Broken Hill premises could have been forgiven for thinking they had stepped back in time this month with Tom Selleck and Merv Hughes lookalikes populating the grounds.

With November coming to a close, employees have had a few weeks to cultivate their upper lips in support of the annual Movember fundraiser.

The aptly named Magnum TI’s has 32 team members this year who are well on their way to raising $6000 that will help to shine a light on men’s health issues.

Cristal Mining, which has been a long-time supporter of the fundraiser, is matching the money raised by its employees.

Mineral Separation Plant Manager Clayton Trengrove commended the company’s commitment.

“It’s great the company is matching donations dollar for dollar,” he said.

Every hour more than four men die from potentially preventable conditions in Australia which shows just how important the work of the Movember Foundation is.
