She started at the RSPCA as a volunteer and, 30 years later, Catherine Hyde is still caring for creatures great and small.
The RSPCA has recognised the efforts of Ms Hyde, who started her involvement with the animal shelter as a volunteer assisting staff in 1980.
“She fulfilled many duties as a volunteer and was of great assistance to staff,” said Don Robinson, Assistant Manager of Branches and Properties RSPCA NSW.
Ms Hyde has served as the local Branch as President and as a committee member and still attends branch meetings and fundraising events.
“During that 30 years she has far exceeded the duties she is employed to carry out and always in her uncomplaining and unassuming way,” Mr Robinson said.
“Catherine Hyde has been and remains an outstanding and loyal employee of the RSPCA, and we are proud to have her as an employee of such long standing.
“I congratulate Catherine on achieving such a milestone in employment and hope she is with us for many years yet.”
