Broken Hill Saints fullback Matt Kiddle says his side is bracing for a “rowdy crowd” when they travel to Wilcannia to take on the Boomerangs in round two of the Outback Rugby League today.
Kiddle won’t be playing in the match but says the road trips east are always difficult.
“The Boomerangs go to another level on their home field but I know our guys will be up for the challenge,” he said.
The Saints accounted for United with ease in the opening round last weekend, while the ‘Boomers’ toppled Geebungs.
“For a team that hasn’t trained that much together, I thought we held our structure together well,” Kiddle said.
Round two of the ORL features another double header at Lamb Oval, with Menindee Yabbies playing their first game of the year against Geebungs this afternoon.
In the other fixture, United will be determined to put in an improved showing against the Eagles who were big winners over Parntu Warriors in round one.
