Quilters’ Cuppa Day
Friday, 13th June, 2014
With winter undeniably here and the weekend’s temperature predicted to just nudge the mid teens, the annual Silver City Quilters’ “Cuppa Day” is sure to be popular.
Tomorrow you may enjoy a warming Devonshire Tea or hot soup from 10am to 4pm, and one lucky guest will also take home a handmade quilt that is first prize in a raffle.
The Quilters will set up trading tables and displays including vintage embroidery, aprons and doilies in the Aged Persons Rest Centre in Blende Street, across the road from the City Library.
Entry is by a gold coin donation with all proceeds going towards the refurbishment of the Leukaemia Village in Adelaide.
The village provides free accommodation for patients and their families, especially those from country areas.
