Competitors in the Classic Outback Trial rally rolled into town yesterday for some rest, relaxation and repairs.

The Trial, which is held every two years, sees drivers complete courses all across Australia, with this year's taking in places from Parkes to Renmark.

It's a tough adventure that pits classic cars and their crews against dirt tracks, long stretches of lonely roads and bush terrain.

The rally helps raise money for Frontier Services, which supports the local "Flying Padre" David Shrimpton.

Competitors will spend two nights in the city as part of the local stage, an anyone seeking results or further information can visit classicoutbacktrial.com.au
