Choir needs more voices

Broken Hill’s Philharmonic Choir is looking for new members.
Previous experience in a choir would be “wonderful”, said the choir’s musical director, Diane Cotterill, but was not strictly necessary.
“If you can sing in tune and would like to have some fun (mixed with a little serious musical learning) with a group of like-minded people, consider coming along to a rehearsal and having a sing.”
Rehearsals are held at the Philharmonic’s clubrooms on the corner of Crystal and Sulphide streets each Monday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Choristers are requested to arrive 10 minutes early so that rehearsals may begin on time.
The next concert, on November 23, will have an Australian theme, and will include some Australian Christmas music. The choir celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.
