Alma swimming club captain Jesse Cochrane-Adolfson has returned home from the South Australian state age championships held at the Marion Aquatic Centre with some amazing results which has inspired some of Alma’s younger swimmers.

Jesse backed up from the South Australian country championships where he did exceptionally well to qualify and compete in 15 events at the state championships.

Of these 15 events, Jesse made 11 finals, 4 open qualifying times and many PBs  not only in the heats but again in the finals. He returned home with a silver medal in the 100m breastroke and a bronze in the 100m butterfly.

He had many close races where he placed 4th narrowly missing out on medalling.

4th 100 fly - open qualifying time
4th 50 breast
4th 50 back
5th 200 breast-- open qualifying time
6th 50 fly
7th 200 back
7th 400im
8th 200im
9th 100 back

11th 400 free
12th 200 free
12th 100 free
14th 50 free 

Jesse thanked the Alma Swimming Club, all coaches and his parents for helping him get to the championships. A special thanks goes to Rachel Harvey for extra training and Scott Parker for his support and coaching at the carnival.
