Cafe experience tops list

A local cafe has come up against trendy cafes and ritzy restaurants to be named one of the Top Ten Outdoor Restaurants in NSW.
The Business Insider recently listed the best outdoor eating experiences in the state.
Alfrescos Cafe topped the list and owners John and Mark Perry are very excited.
“We didn’t know about it, it was a complete surprise,” John said.
They were unaware if they had been voted into the list or someone picked them as the best.
“We suspect it was a bit like having a mystery shopper,” John said.
Alfrescos was described as having relaxed outdoor dining in Outback NSW serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“It was great to be on the list,” John said.
Mark said it was a big honour, especially to go up against restaurants like Rick Stein at Bannisters and Pete Evans’ restaurant.
“We are chuffed to be in the same company,” he said.
“We work hard to provide a great service to all our customers.”
John said it was great recognition for the city.
“It was great for Broken Hill to be even considered,” he said.
They have received a lot of feedback since being put on the list.
“Lots of people have been coming into congratulate us, which is good,” Mark said.
“People who haven’t been to Alfrescos before are also coming in.”
John and Mark said they couldn’t do it without their staff.
“We would like to thank our staff, they work really hard as a team and it is great to get recognition,” John said.
“We would also like to thank our customers for their support.”
