The Central Cricket Club has again stumped up for the McGrath Foundation, donning pink and raising gear money for breast cancer research.

Pink Stumps Day is held every year by the Foundation, and Central have been keen supporters, raising around $4,000 over four years.

The Magpies have stepped up their efforts this year with a donations tin at the Tydvil Hotel and a special ‘barefoot bowling’ tournament at the Broken Hill Bowling Club.

The tournament will be held tonight after the club’s match with South, and both teams will take part.

There will also be a range of raffles and fundraising activities, with local businesses coming on board to support the event.

Central’s Cam Wells said Pink Stumps Day was a great initiative, and the Magpies were happy to able lend a hand again this year.
