Tip Shop mounts monster clear-out
Saturday, 28th February, 2015
For garage sale lovers, Lifeline will be holding a monster one next week.
Lifeline Broken Hill’s Tip Shop has been inundated with donations of goods.
To raise much needed funds in order to continue to provide a range of services, programs and suicide awareness campaigns the Tip Shop will hold its Monster Garage sale from Monday to Thursday.
There is a huge list of items on offer for those looking to catch a bargain.
It includes half price on selected furniture and white goods, many items for sale now being sold as cheap as $2.
There is also a large variety of books on offer selling for $5 a bag.
The Tip Shop now has a green house that has salvaged plants and cuttings. It gives them a second chance and they will be available for purchase.
Lifeline Broken Hill heavily relies on sales profits from both the Lifeline Op Shop in Argent Street and the Tip Shop to continue to deliver free services to communities in Far West NSW.
Lifeline Broken Hill’s CEO, Scott Hammond, is hoping that the community will continue its support through purchases at the Monster Garage Sale.
“It can be challenging providing services for free, but we are committed to doing all that is needed to make sure quality suicide prevention services are available to our communities,” Mr Hammond said.
“This garage sale will hopefully go a long way in injecting much needed funds to sustain and grow our capacity to further provide our services free of charge to our local area.”
Bargain hunters are encouraged to get in early to secure a great bargain as well as helping a good cause.
All funds raised at the Lifeline shops stay local and go towards helping local people. Every dollar raised helps us to save lives.
