Cheryl Barry has made it three wins in a row by taking out the Champion of Champions match at North Bowling Club yesterday.

Representing the Zinc Bowling Club, Ms Barry defeated Broken Hill Bowling Club’s Isabel Hampton in a single game of 21Up (first to 21).

There were to be three ladies in the game but North Bowling Club’s Judith Calleia had to forfeit.

Ms Barry has now made it a hat-trick of wins with championships in 2013, 2014 and now 2015.

“I’m ecstatic!” she said. “I’m really proud of myself.”

Ms Barry will now head to Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley in April to compete in the Region Four Champion of Champions singles tournament.

She will also be competing in the pairs with partner Janice Rowe.

“I haven’t been there before so it’ll be a first,” she said.

North’s Judy Calleia, despite having to forfeit in the singles, will also be on her way to Nuri to compete in the team event with teammates Pauline Charles, Judy White and Valerie Jones.

Broken Hill Bowling secretary Teresa Hayes was happy about how the day went.

“The greens rolled really well,” she said. “We’d like to thank North Bowling Club for hosting the event.”
