A lot of work goes on behind the scenes for the St Pat’s Fashion Parade with organisers giving up sleep to pull everything together.
The St Pat’s Fashion Parade is on tonight and organisers are looking forward to presenting lots of great entertainment with great fashion.
Organiser Dana Farcich said everything was coming together with the hard work of her team, Shelley Hayes and Holly Howard.
“Shelley and I have been up until 1.30am to 2am every night this week getting ready for the parade,” Dana said.
“She has gone above and beyond and Holly is like my right hand. Holly makes my life so much easier.
“This is my 13th parade and I couldn’t do it without Shelley, but now I have Holly - what a team, we make!
“We’ve all worked long and hard hours.”
Traditionally, there has been a theme with the parade, but Dana said this year it was all about celebrating St Pat’s anniversary meeting.
“It’s going to be a big evening, it will be our celebration for St Pat’s 50th year,” she said.
“Tickets have sold really well, we have almost sold out. There are a couple of tickets left.”
Providing the entertainment will be a host of acts including Menindee Performing Arts under the guidance of William Mafi, Dana said.
“We have Charyne and Jason Bradley working together with the Broken Hill High School students.
“We have Burke Ward Public School performing as well as Kristil Cowdrey’s Silver City Dance Academy.
“There will be some big performing acts - as well as 10 fashion houses showing their clothes.”
The parade starts at 7pm at the Civic Centre. Tickets are $30 and include supper.
