Bringing us up to speed

Telstra has confirmed it is trialling its 4GX wireless internet network in Broken Hill - but is not saying when it expects to fully activate the superior service.
A number of residents have recently reported via social media that they have noticed their devices have been working on the 4G network instead of 3G.
Telstra yesterday said trials had recently begun of 4GX which, according to the telco’s website, offers greater speed and coverage than the regular 4G network, which in turn is faster than 3G.
Most of inland Australia still relies on the 3G network, with 4G limited mainly to the coast and some larger inland cities.
Telstra said it would advise the local community once testing had finished and the full service was ready to be activated.
