A local pensioner received an early Easter present after winning more than $525,000 on a Lotto ticket.

The local woman said she felt like she’s been in a dream ever since she discovered her Saturday Lotto ticket won a first division share in the weekend’s draw.

The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, had trouble believing her four-game marked entry had scored a first division prize of $525,190.66.

“I’ve really felt like this has been a dream and I’ll wake up soon,” the ecstatic winner told a NSW Lotteries official.

“It’s only now that I’ve spoken with you that I know I’m not dreaming - I’ve actually won.”I’m numb at the moment.

“I’ve been playing those numbers for more years than I can remember. I don’t even know why I picked them.”

The winner plans to use her prize money to buy things for her family.

“I want to use my prize money to do a couple of things for my kids and grandkids,” she said.

The winning four-game marked entry was purchased from Lindsay’s Auto and Essentials in Blende Street.

Throughout Australia, there were eight entries that won a first division share of Saturday Lotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on Saturday, each worth $525,190.66.

Apart from the winning entry from New South Wales, two winning tickets were purchased in Victoria, one each in South Australia and Northern Territory, and three were from Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3517 on April 4 were 40, 34, 1, 45, 44 and 24. The supplementary numbers were 20 and 16.
