Tourist body’s nod to Priscilla
Saturday, 2nd May, 2015
Tickets went on sale for the Inland Tourism Awards presentation dinner yesterday, and the launch was positively fabulous.
Orphelia Balls, Sister George and Miss Autopsy from Andrew Bevarne’s “Queens of the Desert” opened ticket sales atop the Line of Lode, with elaborate costumes that would make the cast of Priscilla green with envy.
The Inland Tourism Awards will provide tourism organisations and individuals with the chance to gain an insight into their industry, their business, and achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
One of the main purposes of the awards is to develop quality regional tourism products and provide businesses the opportunity to benchmark their business with similar businesses.
Entrants are made up of tourism businesses, events, marketing organisations, clubs and individuals.
Winners gain finals status upon entering the NSW State Tourism Awards and, if successful, go onto the National Tourism Awards.
Tickets will be on sale from Monday 13 until Friday July 17 and cost $99. The price includes pre-dinner canapes, two course meal, drinks and entertainment by Andrew Bevarne’s Queens of the Desert performing a Priscilla tribute show.
Tickets can be purchased from Council’s Customer Service Centre Monday to Friday, or online at www.eventbrite.com.au
