Broken Hill High School’s Emma Hocking and Ethan George were the overall winners of the school’s Cross Country race this week.

The 3.5km run had all the students participate at the Broken Hill Golf Club.

Organiser and teacher, Bianca Horne, said Ethan finished his run in 13.18 minutes and Emma in 13.35.

“We’ve had really good participation and the weather has been really good,” Ms Horne said.

“It’s beautiful in the sun and the breeze is nice cooling down.

“The runners and walkers also had their fun run which they fundraised for.

“Some students trained for this event and it was great to see everyone involved.”

Ms Horne said it was a great day.

“Congratulations to all students who completed the course either by walking or running,” she said.
