The volunteers at Harold Williams Home were treated to a lunch at the Astra, yesterday.

Manager Tracey Reardon and Activities officers Fiona Dart and Vanessa Kelly invited the volunteers out to lunch to celebrate Volunteers’ Week.

“It’s a great opportunity to thank the volunteers on behalf of the staff and residents,” Fiona said.

“Volunteers’ duties range from the running of bingo, shopping, arts and crafts, bus drivers for special outings, singers to entertain the residents fortnightly, manicure mornings, men’s shed activities, tea and coffee chit chats and much more.

“Activities wouldn’t run as well as they do without the support of these giving individuals and we at Harold Williams Home are blessed to have such a strong group of volunteers that staff and residents look forward to seeing on a daily basis.”
