Round 3 of the 2015 Broken Hill MX Championship takes place this Sunday with high octane racing and lightning speed set to provide some great entertainment for the whole family.
Taking place at the local MX track situated on the Adelaide Road, there is a full range of classes starting with the Little Superstar non-competitive riders which start at a very tender age.
This is great entertainment for all; it’s the class where a lot of laughs are had and it is by far the biggest start line for the day with roughly 15 riders.
The Division 2 - 50cc Class consists of a lot of kids travelling away for the State Titles.
Ripley Rowbotham (#21) is the one to watch in this race.
Ripley raced extremely well in Round One of State Titles and finished third overall, which is a fantastic effort.
The 65cc Class is made up of some really quick kids that look like jockeys atop of the powerful bikes.
Taz Lihou (#153) is an up-and-coming champion back from missing round two and will be fired up to take out the podium.
However, Max Howse (#988) and Ripley Rowbotham will have something to say about that and will be out to stop him.
The 85cc Class is very even and the lead will change throughout the day.
Taz Lihou, Talon Harvey, Tom McRae are just a few who will be pushing for the checkered flag.
The 125cc will be the best race for the day if the racing repeats itself from last round.
Jacko Barraclough, who is a great junior rider from Mildura, will be pushing hard all day to get away from Jaxon Pearce and the surprise package of young gun Kelvin Cattermole.
There are also a lot of females racing and these girls can ride.
Kate Curran is a State Title rider who has been racing really well and should take out this class.
Brylee Farquhar and Sam Love are newcomers to the sport and will be right up there for a podium finish.
All of the senior riders will provide the highest standard of racing throughout the day.
Todd and Matty Quin have a huge amount of Motocross experience and will be very hard to beat as they are both in good form.
Callum Dodimead is a 2014 State Title Champion and will have the crowd and some of his competitors in amazement with his illustrious talent on the bike.
There are a total 13 local racers also competing in the Peter Steven’s SA State Titles who will all be racing this week-end.
Entry is free and there is a fully catered canteen.
