Justin Heath won’t be the only milestone gamer at the Memorial Oval today - Shelby Raven also has a big day ahead of her.

Raven will become the first Central player to play 50 games in Women’s football.

She has been involved in AFL Broken Hill Women’s football since its inception back in 2012.

She has played in all three of the Magpies premierships and has been a driving force in the side’s performance this season.

Originally playing as a rover, Raven was moved into ruck this season and her impressive vertical leap gives her the advantage at the contests.

From the eight games played this season, she has made an appearance in the best players in every one and has managed to slot six handy goals.

Raven, along with Marcia Millsteed, Erica Wilkins, Amy Richards and Teagan Coombes, have formed together to make an imposing midfield line-up which has Central second on the ladder.

Raven said she was quietly confident about her milestone game.

“I think we should do good against West.”

The 19-year-old will lead by example and will be tough to handle once her big game gets underway.
