Round 10 of the ORL will see the double header in Wilcannia and with finals spots up for grabs, every game from here on in will be vital.

Firstly we see the much improved Warriors taking on an out-of-form United side in Wilcannia.

On form, Parntu should win this easily but looking back when these sides last met, United had its first win since re-entering the competition and it was by a big margin.

United should gain some players back over the next few weeks after suspensions and work commitments but I’m not sure if that’s going to be enough to beat this fast moving Parntu side.

They smell blood after their hard fought win against the Saints and a win this week will consolidate them in third position.

Tip: Parntu by 12.

The Menindee game is the local derby, with both the Yabbies and Eagles coming off important wins.

The Yabbies stole the match in the dying seconds against the Bungas whilst the Eagles belted a lack lustre United.

The Yabbies can go all the way this year, but they must win big games like this.

The Eagles are just starting to warm up and I think they will be favourites this week, depending on how the Yabbies’ players recovered from a tough game against the Bungas.

Tip: Eagles by four.

The remaining game is between the slick looking Boomerangs and a Saints side that has its back up against the wall (a dangerous prospect as the Warriors nearly found out last round).

On form, the Boomerangs will be thinking an easy win but as the Saints proved last week, it will be anything but.

The Boomers have winners right across the board from their forwards to their backs, and when they play as one are just about unstoppable.

The Saints on the other hand have struggled due to work commitments, but they won’t die wondering.

If they employ their hard, gritty, never say never attitude, they will give the Boomerangs a shake.

There’s a bit of history between these two clubs so this should be a lot closer than what people expect.

Tip: Boomers by 16.

Geebungs will take the bye.
