Broken Hill Rotary and the Cake Decorators have again whipped up some Christmas spirit to produce an extra delight for Meals on Wheels customers this year.

The Cake Decorators have been baking traditional Christmas cakes for Meal on Wheels for the past 28 years, and BH Rotary helps out by buying the ingredients.

The fine Christmas fare will be delivered to the city’s elderly next Wednesday when a special free luncheon is presented to customers.

“They really look forward to this special day,” said Meals on Wheels President Lillian Cox.

“I really can’t thank you enough,” she told representatives of the two organisations.

The Cake Decorators’ Christmas stall at the Town Hall Facade in Argent Street continues this week, from 9am to 5pm until Friday, then 9am to noon on Saturday.

Apart from a wonderful range of homemade cakes, biscuits and pies, you can also pick up some fine pottery, glassware, patchwork and other gifts for that someone special this Christmas.
