Adelaide Crows captain Taylor Walker has thrown his support behind the city’s water plight, and hopes to gain national prominence for the issue.

Walker was in the city yesterday to film a story and interviews with a crew from current affairs program, Today Tonight.

The well-known local has always retained a keen interest in his hometown, and said he was happy to lend a hand to “raise awareness and hopefully get it sorted”.

During his trip home he spoke with the heads of the We Want Action water group, GP Dr Ramu Nachiappan, mothers of children with skin conditions, and Mayor Wincen Cuy.

The story is expected to be uploaded to Today Tonight’s website (www.todaytonightadelaide.com.au) on Monday or Tuesday.
