Residents, staff and volunteers sang and danced the day away when Harold Williams Home was turned briefly into a concert hall on Wednesday.

The entertainment came courtesy of Victorian cover band Sentimental Journey which brought their show ‘Kiss Me Sergeant Major’ to the nursing home.

Recreational activities officer Fiona Dart said the residents thoroughly enjoyed the show which had them singing along to songs from the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s.

“Residents, staff and volunteers were up dancing the day away with everyone clapping and singing along,” Ms Dart said.

The concert was made possible by an auction that was held in January and raised more than $2000.
