Revved up for Mum’s Day meet
Saturday, 7th May, 2016
Tomorrow round two of the motocross season gets underway at 9am at the speedway/motocross track on the Adelaide road.
The day will begin with the McCraes doing their famous bacon and egg rolls for breakfast which will be a good way to treat mum on Mother’s Day.
With today’s kick start program again booked out we should see good numbers for juniors and let’s just hope the seniors will follow suit and boost the numbers from the last meet.
The 50cc learner’s grade will have some more new faces and should be one of the crowd favourites on the day with the likes of Philp, Bourke and Pascoe lining up.
Cambell Cadd will be looking to bounce back in the 50cc div 1 class and should have a good battle with Nate. Akira and the Lihou brothers will also be great to watch.
The 65cc class will again have a good roll up of riders like Jaiden Carr, Ripley Rowbothom and Max Howse all trying to catch Taz Lihou in the points race for this class.
Talon Zammit-Harvey will be pushing Max and Taz in the 85cc division and we should see some good racing in this class.
Wazza Khan will be out to dominate in the Vets class, while Kate Curran will be trying to keep all the ladies at bay to stay top of the podium.
In the 250cc juniors, Jaxon Pearce will be the one to watch along with the ever-improving Tom McCrae.
The 125cc should again see Jackson Barraclough travel from Mildura to get the chocolates but I am sure Eli Bock will push him all the way.
The senior grades will feature riders such as Todd Quin, Callum Dodimead, Macka Attard and Ben Langford battle it out for honours.
The All Powers races was a great event at last month’s meet and I would expect this round to be no different with some top class riders all doing battle.
Nominations are now open online on the club’s Facebook page.
We also need more volunteers for the canteen to help make it a successful day.
All this entertainment for a gold coin donation, and with Agfair in town and no football this weekend, we hope to see a good crowd at the track. To all the Motorcross mums, Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday and will see you trackside.
