PCYC’s packed schedule
Thursday, 19th May, 2016
The PCYC is hosting a range of fun activities over the next few weeks, starting with a movie night on Friday.
This will be followed by a membership drive on Friday, May 27.
The movie night, which will screen “Escape from Planet Earth”, is open to all and will get underway at 6.30pm. There will be a barbecue and popcorn available with drinks for sale for $2.
The movie night will cost a gold coin donation if you are a member.
Parents can leave their children but they must pick them up at 8.30pm sharp.
PCYC Manager Sharryn Matthews said this was just one of the many exciting activities they had happening.
“We are starting up training with Boxing for Fitness, military-inspired boot camps and we hope to develop an obstacle course on the old bike track,” she said.
“We will be having a membership drive on Friday, May 27 and we will be holding some activities as well. It will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and a 12-month membership is $20 for adults, $10 for children.”
They will also be offering different packages for the boot camps.
“It will be an eight-week course and if we get enough interest we will run them a couple of times a week.”
The PCYC will also have art on Thursdays from 4-5pm which cost $50 a term.
“We would really love kids to come along and participate,” said Ms Matthews.
“We are also looking for expressions of interest for a mums and bubs class and we were thinking about running a kindergym. If we receive any interest we will go from there.
“We are always looking for volunteers.”
