Performers at this year’s Broken Heel Festival will be making their own trip across the desert to take part in the Sydney Australia Day celebrations at Circular Quay.
A dozen performers will be making an appearance at the festival this year, with several of them also joining the main stage spectacular in Sydney next weekend.
They’ll also be filming special festive clips to broadcast throughout the day and on Channel 10.
Broken Heel Festival director, Esther La Rovere, said Sydney’s Australia Day celebrations always reached a massive audience and it was exciting to be part of it.
“We are thrilled to be invited to represent our regional event at these celebrations. The publicity is really going to help put this festival on the map.”
Along with their short recorded performances throughout the day, the Broken Heel stars will be hitting the main stage at 9pm, shortly before the fireworks.
Brendan Barlow, aka Shelita Buffet, will be one of those performing for tens of thousands.
“The recognition of the festival has really provided me as an entertainer such a fabulous opportunity,” he said.
“I mean, in two years I have an invitation to our state’s main stage with a secret star studded line up. It’s fantastic.”
