Goodyear Autocare Broken Hill has won the Regional Store of the Year across South Australia, Northern territory and Western Australia.

The award was announced on Sunday, February 18, at the National Conference that was held in Hobart.

Manager of the store Arthur Clifton said that learning they had won the award for store of the year was “a bit of a shock.”

“Winning was quite out of the blue, it’s not like we were trying to win it,” he said.

The award is based on customer service, the presentation of both the store and the staff as well as the number of Goodyear Dunlop products sold.

Arthur was informed on January 10 that the store had been nominated for the award and that in itself was quite an achievement.

Goodyear Autocare Broken Hill has been trading for three and a half years, since being purchased by Nick and Fiona Reck, and Arthur Clifton was appointed manager. Arthur said this award was due to the hard work that has been put in over the past three years which appears to have paid off.

“This gives us security for coming years - now we’ve got to try and win it next year,” said Arthur.

On behalf of the Goodyear Autocare team, Arthur thanked Nick and Fiona Reck for their amazing support that they continue to provide to the team in their store here in Broken Hill.

Also sending thanks to Peter Staker, the Goodyear representative for an outstanding effort in helping them grow, as well as a huge thank you to all the wonderful customers for their support “because without you we win nothing”.
