The Silver City Riding Academy is hosting a clinic for everyone interested in the 4BP training method.

The method is used by former local Jarrod Hughes who now owns Belarabon Station near Cobar. For the past three years, Jarrod and his team have been taking in brumbies from Mount Kosciuszko and training them to rehome them.

The 4BP event will give people an understanding of how a horse can be broken-in in as little as an hour and a half, and be ready to mount and ride in three to five hours.

No physical strength or riding ability is required, and it can also be used on all breeds of horses, cattle, goats, sheep, dogs and camels.

The Riding Academy event involves a demonstration of the method and will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 8.30am to 3pm. The cost is $60 per person and is free for those under 16. People are required to bring a chair and there will be catering available.
