Drawn game a win for family

A pair of over 50-year-old novices recruited from the grandstand at the last minute have helped Penguins maintain a strong position in the race for the BH Softball Association premiership.
At the half-way stage of the season the top three teams are separated by just one win, with Excelsior leading on 10 points, one in advance of Penguins, with a similar margin to reigning premiers Tigers.
But had it not been for the efforts of 52-year-old Marg Burrowes and a friend of the family visiting from Brisbane, Penguins were staring down the barrel of a forfeit loss to Warriors in their last outing.
