South B-grade icon, Anthony Farquhar, will play his 350th and final game in this weekend's B grade Grand Final against North.

Speaking to the BDT ahead of his milestone match, Farquhar confirmed that this weekend will be his final game before he retires from football.

Jayden Kelly has created Broken Hill football history by becoming the first player to win the Lionel Johnston Medal three years in a row.

Kelly had previously stood with nine other players who had won back to back medals, but now he stands alone as one of the game's elite players.

He has been a star player in 2012, earning votes in 12 rounds of football, while work commitments saw him miss at least two rounds.

Jan Corey says she is very humbled to have the medal for the best and fairest women's AFL player named in her honour.

The inaugural Jan Corey Medal will be presented tonight at the Lionel Johnston Medal count, following the first season of women's AFL.

Jan said she had mixed emotions when she found out that the medal was to be named after her.

North have advanced to the 2012 Grand Final, following a hard fought 36 point win over West on Saturday.

With the Jubilee Oval bathed in bright sunshine and a good crowd on hand, the Bulldogs blew the contest apart in the first term, kicking seven goals to two and it was that deficit that the Robins struggled with for the remainder of the game.
